database has the following major categories:

The
entire database contains data on 5,976 food items for up to 81 properties
(food components). Sugars composition data was provided for some of the
ingredients in SR 12. Relative sweetness, lactose content, and sucrose
equivalents were calculated for ingredients where data was available. This
was accomplished using the following reference, "Sugar Content of
Selected Foods: Individual and Total Sugars", Home Economics
Research Report No. 48. All information was obtained from the USDA Nutrient
Data Laboratory web site, http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/.
